bg aku semua lagu dlm album ni best2... lbh2 lg lagu breadline, wanderlust, i'll be there dan time: the beginning

album ni dikritik gila2 oleh peminat tegar megadeth sbb dah hilang unsur2 ganas (thrash) trademark megadeth... yup, mmg betul. sapa2 yg dah lama layan megadeth bila dgr album ni dah mcm dgr lagu2 bon jovi plak. dulu aku berpendapat faktor usia yg membuatkan dorg slow-down. sama mcm kes album load metallica. tp ternyata tanggapan aku tu salah dgn adanya album2 baru megadeth dan yg latest under roadrunner records - united abominations dan endgame

spt yg aku mention kat entry rust in peace, aku mula layan abis album megadeth bermula dgn risk ni, wlupun sblm tu aku ada layan bbrp lagu lama (tornado of soul, symphony of destructions, angry again, a tout le monde) tp semua tu versi kompilasi je bkn full album. mula2 layan mp3... then beli kaset (lelong stock clearance RM5.90 skali dgn kaset album capitol punishment)

klu dikirakan konsep pop rock atau mainstream metal, bg aku album ni mmg berjaya... let's say some new hard rock band would release risk as their 1st album, i guess it's easy for them to get multi-platinum... tp apakan daya cliche thrash megadeth tu amat kuat, jd best cemana pun... album ni ttp dikiritik hebat (atau diboikot) "huh! megadeth was selled out just like metallica did with load~"

tp, abg mus ada explain kat dlm 1st 3 pages inlay cd ni, antaranya -

"...all i could foresee was people mocking megadeth for selling out, people having field day with this song, this record, the image, the logo change, the artwork... memori di sebalik album ni mengingatkan aku time aku dpt keja (2000) di sebuah kedai komputer kat sg dua penang (dpn usm) sementara menunggu utk majlis konvokesyen in 2001

disebabkan aku dah lama layan album risk yg asal, jd bila dibandingkan dgn versi remixed & remastered ni, aku rasa mcm janggal sket... ada part yg dipotong (cth - intro biola lagu insomnia dah kena buang tp ada blk kat track 13 jeff balding mix) dan ada part yg ditambah2 (cth - gitar riff dlm lagu breadline dan i'll be there ada mcm lain sket lbh nyaring drp versi asal)... bg aku risk asal mmg dah perfect, apsal la nak kena remixed & remastered lg? dan cover art risk asal (mousetrap) lagi sempoi
