Nightwish - Imaginaerum

Kalau semalam mood 80-90's pop bersama Kylie dan Belinda, hari ni kembali kepada mood metal (symphonic metal to be exact). Pagi tadi menerima satu bungkusan dari US yang pastinya berisi CD dibeli dari eBay. Berisi CD audio album studio terbaru dari Nightwish - Imaginaerum.

New and sealed.

Setelah gagal mencari album ni di Victoria Music Centre bulan lepas, maka eBay merupakan pilihan dan aku memilih yang dijual oleh eBay seller chuff000 setelah membuat perbandingan harga dengan seller lain (US$7.99+6.90 @ RM47.27). (P)+(C) 2011 Nuclear Blast GmbH. Pada mulanya aku ingin membeli 2CD limited edition yang harganya mahal RM10-15 berbanding versi biasa, tapi aku tak suka pakej digipak.

Semenjak album Dark Passion Play, muzik Nightwish ada sedikit kelainan. Mungkin untuk menyesuaikan dengan vokal Anette Olzon yang jauh berbeza dengan vokal Tarja Turunen - secara peribadi, aku lebih suka vokal Olzon yang lebih "mainstream".

Another chapter of the Nightwish story has ended today. Nightwish and Anette Olzon have decided to part company, in mutual understanding, for the good of all parties involved. 

In recent times it has become increasingly obvious that the direction and the needs of the band were in conflict, and this has led to a division from which we cannot recover. 

Nightwish has no intention of cancelling any upcoming shows, and as a result we have decided to bring in a substitute vocalist starting in Seattle 1.10.2012. Her name is Floor Jansen from The Netherlands (ex-After Forever, ReVamp), and she has graciously stepped in to help us complete the Imaginaerum world tour. 

We are all strongly committed to this journey, this vehicle of spirit, and we are sure that this will lead to a brighter future for everyone. 

We forever remain excited about the adventures to come, and we are extremely proud of the two beautiful albums and the wonderful shows we shared together.

Whoa!~ Floor Jansen? Ini sudah bagus! Peminat After Forever pastinya gembira dengan berita ni. Harap-harap Jansen ni jadi ahli tetap Nightwish selepas ni dan bukan hanya vokalis gantian untuk tour.

Oh ya, aku macam malas nak buat ulasan pasal lagu-lagu dalam album ni, yang pasti hasil kerja Tuomas Holopainen memang teliti dan bersungguh-sungguh. Hasilnya, ia merupakan sebuah lagi masterpiece karya agung daripada Nightwish dan boleh dikategorikan sebagai super album. Album yang wajib ada untuk peminat Nightwish dan agak berbaloi untuk dimiliki kepada mereka yang baru berjinak-jinak dengan muzik Nightwish. Kalau rasa susah sangat, sedut sajalah...
